I'm having the same problem using 2.1.2 on my MacBook in OSX 10.11.6. I've been having it almost every time I use the app and create a project, all day today. I'd like to save multiple editing projects for later.
I do have FileVault. I also have Microsoft Word open.
I wish I could say that I don't know what that has to do with anything. Does that have anything to do with anything?

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full
I started a new topic for you. It is too hard to deal with multiple people in the same topic on different systems and using different versions of Audacity.
Try Installation: Do NOT run Audacity from the DMG!!!!.
Then try changing the project save directory to your own Music folder. It should not be necessary to avoid a folder that is open in other applications, but you can investigate that. Is that a known issue with Word, cyrano?
There are two restrictions when typing the file name for the saved project. Don't use colon, because the Mac reserves that character. Don't use backslash ( \ ) due to an Audacity bug.

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full
Not AFAIK, but audio can be an issue with a Mac with a Fusion disk, especially using FileVault. Usually, the problem surfaces while recording, but writing out a wav is like recording too.Gale Andrews wrote:Is that a known issue with Word, cyrano?
And having Word open won't help, presumably, but it's easy enough to test, isn't it?
