If that really is a 78 record, you should be playing it with a 78 stylus. That will eliminate tons of noise and distortion with no software corrections at all. You should also be playing it at 78 if you're not doing that.
There are desperation methods where you play at 78 at Some Other Speed and with the The Wrong Stylus, but that puts you trying to correct garbage into music using pages of special corrections and filters. Not recommended.
There are a number of pop and click correction packages designed for problems typical of records, some respected packages at extra cost.
