Recovered files are mute, no project

Help for Audacity on macOS.
Forum rules

Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Recovered files are mute, no project

Hi,
I'm running Audacity 2.1. My Mac is running 10.11.2. Unfortunately I should say because this is sort of the problem, or rather: my now mute recovered files/projects that hadn't been saved before a new OS was installed, without asking permission, by other user on same Mac..

My directory is in /var/folders/0t/hc4mll0x43jfth8tcs8_cv1w0000gp/T/audacity-Marten

Attached is the log file. Any hope of recovering the actual audio?

There is no 2.1. I hope you mean 2.1.0?

Oh, here it is. 2.1.1.

Is this an edited project or a raw capture from a performance?

Can you find any of those little AU files?

The structure is an AUP text file with the instructions to Audacity how to construct the show out of the contents of the similarly-named _DATA folder. The _DATA folder contains a deeper directory structure with the AU files.

The AUP file and the _DATA folder must live in the same location or folder for the show to open.

You should be able to look and see both.

Go (top of desktop) > Go To Folder (see attached).

It's 2.1.1 now. What was it before?

Except in this case there is no saved project, so it is the AUTOSAVE file and the "project893826679" folder.
