jumping back from end after "k"

Hi. I'm using Audacity 2.0.6, downloaded with the .dmg installer, running on Mac El Capitan.
I've read through the keyboard shortcuts, but didn't see an answer to this question:
When I'm editing a track, I need to check the length after every couple edits. (I'm editing to fit very specific broadcast windows, and editing out a few too many "ums" can leave me short on time.)
I use the K shortcut to jump to the end of the track to check the length. Then I manually page back to where the cursor was when I made the last edit.
Is there a keyboard shortcut that will return the cursor to its last position - in my case, where I left off before I checked the end time?
Or is there a more efficient way to check the track time than I'm using?
Thanks!
