What Are These Red Lines?

Help for Audacity on macOS.

What Are These Red Lines?

Hi,

Audacity is showing some red lines at points where I've removed some audio from a track (see below). Show Clipping is off.

There doesn't seem to be any clipping at these points. What are these lines indicating? How can I remove them? Are these mentioned in the Manual?

Turn off Cut Lines in the Tracks Preferences . Cut Lines are not enabled by default.
