Recording Only From the Sound Card

Help for Audacity on macOS.
Forum rules

Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Recording Only From the Sound Card

At the moment when I record audacity takes the sound from both my sound card and my built in mic.

I have tried turning down the mic volume, but then it turns the sound card volume down too.

This is probably a stupid question, but as I said in my other post I am new to MACs. Can anyone help?

If you want to record what the sound card is playing without room noise, install Soundflower thus:

Ok I have installed it and set it up and it works so thanks for that.

One minor issue, is the level seems to be low. How do I make the level higher using soundflower?
