Transport control panel activation
I have just downloaded the latest version, and can't activate the transport control panel. On the old version, it was available at start up. Any suggestions?

Re: Transport control panel activation
Let's take it in order. When I start Audacity, it arrives with its full work window empty and I click on Transport, get the Transport window and then click on Record and Audacity a split second later goes into Record.
What does yours do?

Thanks for responding.
Mine does the same as yours, but I'm used to controlling the functions tape machine style, with the control button panel. It appears on screen, but I can't operate the buttons, or change their position on the screen.

Why not? How are you attempting to do that?Jeff Berman wrote: I'm used to controlling the functions tape machine style, with the control button panel. It appears on screen, but I can't operate the buttons

My suggestion is you read the pink panel at the top of the page.Jeff Berman wrote:I have just downloaded the latest version, and can't activate the transport control panel. On the old version, it was available at start up. Any suggestions?
Are you sure you got the latest Audacity 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac ?Please state which version of OS X you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from Audacity > About Audacity and whether you obtained the .dmg installer or the zip.
Are you using a mouse or a track pad to press the buttons in Transport Toolbar?

Re: Transport control panel activation
So is this still a problem? If so, is this a "Mighty Mouse" without an explicit left or right button, instead relying on touching the left to left-click?Jeff Berman wrote:I'm using version 2.0.5 with a track ball. Mac 10.7.5.
What about the Audacity input or output sliders or the zoom buttons - can you operate those?
