Can't open WAV files

Help for Audacity on macOS.

ImageThis forum is for Audacity on macOS 10.4 and later.
Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Can't open WAV files

Hi!

Everytime I try to open a WAV file, audacity crashes unexpectedly and I can't explain why. Yes, I removed audacity completely from my system and installed the newest version (2.0.4), but it still crashes when I try to open any WAV file.

See attached file for more infos. Any ideas?

[The extension tiff has been deactivated and can no longer be displayed.]

Thanks for the report.

Please either use this test build http://gaclrecords.org.uk/test-builds/a ... -2.0.4.zip which should not crash so much, or go back to 2.0.3 http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/au ... -2.0.3.zip .
