Audacity Forum

I'm working fine with Audacity 2.0.2 until now. A very fine and useful program.
But after have I have downloaded V 2.0.4. and installed, every time I try to open an exciting file: the program stops.
There is a report that will be sent to Apple but at restart the program again the same problem.
A have removed the program and reinstalled V 2.0.2. This program works as always fine.

How can I solve the problem and install V 2.0.4. as it should be. ?????

I downloaded Audacity 2.0.5-alpha-sep 10 2013 and replaced Audacity.app in Audacity 2.0.4 with the Audacity.app in the download.
The program works fine. The help files, in necessary, I can retrieve from the net.

You really want Gale's "revert-r12334" build. I'm surprised the 2.0.5-alpha nightly fixed the problem.

I think Leo may have tried that "revert-r12334" build. The build will still say "Audacity 2.0.5-alpha-sep 10 2013" in the "Welcome Screen" and "About Audacity" because that's what the current version string is set to.
