Audacity and Audio Hijack Pro

Post by downunderstatement » Mon Sep 09, 2013 2:02 am

Hi.

I use Audio Hijack Pro to make recordings.

It has an 'editor' button that automatically opens a recording in your editor of choice, mine being Audacity. Since installing 2.0.4 the connection between that button and Audacity doesn't work. I have restarted etc but no luck. Any ideas?

Regards,
Max.

"Doesn't work" in what way? Does Audacity crash, or simply not launch?

The preference may look for a specific version number of Audacity, or may lose the connection if you trashed a previous version when you installed 2.0.4. Have you gone to the Audio Hijack prefs and set the connection again?

No, nothing crashes. In fact, when the button is pushed it does switch to Audacity up in the menu bar. But there's no Audacity page open. I need to take the file from the desktop and drag it in after opening an Audacity page.

I have re-set the preferences but it hasn't corrected the problem.

OK, I can confirm this. Works OK with 2.0.3, does not work with 2.0.4, although I get a blank Audacity project window but no file imported.
I'll raise this with the developers.
