Some people find 2.0.3 crashes a lot less, and others find that 1.3.10 doesn't crash at all. I don't really recommend 1.3.10 because it is an old Beta with many other issues, but the choice is there. You can get those old versions here http://code.google.com/p/audacity/downloads/list?can=4 .
