All,
My set-up: Audacity 2.0.3; Hardware 1.07 GHz PowerPC G4 - iBook G4. Operating System Mac O X 10.5.8.
Background: I want to join LibriVox. I am attempting to do the set-up per Audacity 1-2-3, so I can do LibriVox's 1 minute test.
Problem: When trying to do Export Setup for "Audacity 1.3 or later" (here I have Audacity 2.0.3), I am instructed to go to "File" and click on "Export". There is only a faded "Export" label under "File", which does nothing when clicked. Not sure where to go from here. I could not find "Export" under any other of the headings.
Thanks.
P. S. In following your instructions, I found that some of the descriptions of where to enter information ( "Mono"; "44100" for Default Sample Rate; "16 bit" for Default Sample Format) were slightly off. However, by checking other headings, I was able to find where these bits of information were to be entered.)
During Export Setup, there is no Export file

Re: During Export Setup, there is no Export file
I think we need that again without all the buzz words and company associations.
"I want to speak into my iBook G4 built-in microphone and record it in Audacity. I need to save the work as an MP3 sound file for posting on-line."
Did I get it?

Re: During Export Setup, there is no Export file
Most of Audacity's commands are greyed out (unavailable) while Audacity is playing or paused. Click the square Stop button to ensure that playback is stopped and not paused.jabc1950 wrote:There is only a faded "Export" label under "File",
You will find export instructions for the current version of Audacity in the manual (in the Help menu, or available on-line here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ex ... audio.html)
