Unable to accurately highlight audio (SOLVED)

Hey there. I've got a Mac OSX x 10.7.5 (MacBook Pro) and am using the most recent Audacity obtained by the .dmg installer.
I have been using Audacity for ages without a problem but over the past months I have been unable to isolate bits of audio using my cursor. Instead when I am trying to highlight a certain part of the audio it will jump to a few seconds before or after the exact bit of audio I want, making it impossible edit properly. I am quite sure the problem is not with my computer as I have been using other editing software without any issues like this. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Audacity with no luck.

I'm not sure I have done the best job explaining my problem but any advice would be great.

Thanks

Perhaps you have accidentally enabled "Snap To" in the Selection Toolbar. If you have, deselect it. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/se ... .html#snap

Oh man! You're right, so simple. I think this has fixed it.

Thank you!
