no sound output

have installed Audacity 2.0.3 on macbook Air operating on OS 10.6.8
do not get any sound output at all no matter which application i use
system preferences/sound have been set to Soundflower 2chs for both input and output
on the output screen got message "The selected device has no output controls"
pls help
