Help for Audacity on macOS.

The envelope only acts on the track to which it is applied.
Envelopes cannot currently be copied separately from the audio.
So the only way to apply an envelope to two tracks is to draw two envelopes; one on each track.

so an envelope only apply for the track selected ! mono or stereo

Yes envelopes can be applied to mono or stereo tracks, but the envelope only applies to one track.
