Zoom Tool

Post by Steam » Sat Apr 27, 2013 8:58 pm

I'm using an iMac with OS X 10.7.5 software installed. I installed Audacity from dmg.

While numbering song tracks I, as it turned out unfortunately, used the zoom tool to be sure I found the beginning of each song, per recommendation of the Audacity manual. Now, instead of the usual mouse pointer appearing on the screen, a tiny magnifying glass with a "+" in it appears and whenever I click the mouse the track keeps enlarging, as it's meant to. That's fine for finding the exact start of a song, but after doing that I want to be able to disable the zoom feature and restore the mouse pointer. I've tried everything I can think of, including selecting the "view>zoom normal" option.

Anybody have a suggestion?

You need to switch back to the "Selection Tool".

On Windows/Linux you can change to the Selection tool with the F1 key - it may be the same on a Mac.
