This forum is for Audacity on macOS 10.4 and later.I have a track open in Audacity and I am trying to divide it into 15 tracks as it is a lecture of 3 1/2 hours. I have done this before and it went easy. I open the .aup file and I select each point I want a break and press the key that has an apple and a symbol that I don't know the name of and then I type a B. It puts in a break. I put the first one in fine. Now when I try to select different places on this track it will not do it. I place the cursor at a point on the track, click the mouse and nothing happens. If I click a few times the whole track goes dark like I have selected it.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have done this in the past and it was real easy to put in all the breaks and then export multiple tracks.
Does anyone have a clue as to what I am doing wrong? Thanks for your help
