Audacity Forum

Hi! Can someone help me please? I am recording audio tapes from a usb cassette capture device on to a mac running OX 10.8.2. I have successfully done this in the past but today I cannot find the correct settings and no recording. Is there anyway I can reset the default settings? Or can someone tell me how to setup for this type of recording? Thanks Xander

You have got to choose the USB Capture Device as input (recording) device in Audacity. Try this http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/User: ... ut_devices .

You can restore Audacity default settings by following this http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/pr ... tml#stored but the default will not be to record from the USB device.
