Audio is making a weird noise after I export it.
here is the audio clip- https://soundcloud.com/tim-krajewski/bad-open2-1
It sounds fine while editing but once I've exported it it gets that weird noise you here at the start. I have no clue how to fix it, I've changed the bit rate on it tried to put it in wav instead of mp3 but I can't figure it out.
I'm on a macbook pro 10.7.5 with the latest version of audacity.

That's almost the exact symptom of running a USB microphone through a USB hub.
Did I hit it?
Stop doing that. USB Audio demands home runs.

I've done plenty of audio work before but for some reason its just this file is giving me issues. Its happened before but I just simply redid and it worked, this one. not so much.
Re: Audio is making a weird noise after I export it.
EVERYTIME I Export, or Mix and Render tracks, I get this really harsh annoying BZZZZZ sound at the beginning of my projects.
Here is an example: http://www.dstr.lafacade.com/mpcforum/audacity_bug.wav
Exporting into WAV.
MacBookPro 10.8.4, running with Audacity 2.0.3.
How can this be fixed?
PLEASE someone help me! I'm doing a show shortly, and I need this!
Thanks!

If so, please tell us what fixed it. For example if the tracks don't start at time zero, does generating silence there help?
If that does not help, what is the source of the audio in the project? Is it imported audio files? Is the project (with the files copied in) small enough to upload somewhere? It would be helpful to undo the Mix and Render in the project so that we can Mix and Render and reproduce the problem.

Hi! The topic didn't help. The tracks start at time zero. All my projects have two sources: WAV instrumentals from my MPC, and A Cappellas.Gale Andrews wrote:Does this topic help?krissserz wrote:EVERYTIME I Export, or Mix and Render tracks, I get this really harsh annoying BZZZZZ sound at the beginning of my projects.

My projects are too big to send.
I have always worked this way for four years. It now started. I believe since 10.8.4.
Thanks.

I exported from my other computer and all is perfectly fine.
Audacity 1.3.12-beta (Unicode) + OS 10.6.8.

Re: Audio is making a weird noise after I export it.
Can you say what "MPC" is? Is it a WAV file bounced from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_Production_Center, or something else? What is the source of the A Cappella?krissserz wrote:All my projects have two sources: WAV instrumentals from my MPC, and A Cappellas.
As you will appreciate it is hard to fix anything without source audio that reproduces the problem (assuming it is an Audacity problem).krissserz wrote:I exported from my other computer and all is perfectly fine.

Would you kindly be able to try your project with 1.3.12 on the OS X 10.8.4 computer? http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/au ... 1.3.12.zip .

Hi!
MPC Renaissance. Bounced WAV file.
A cappella from http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk
I exported from my MacBook Pro using Audacity 1.3.12-beta (Unicode) + OS 10.6.8 and all is perfect!
(I tried with 2.0.2 and it also failed.)
Thanks!

Thanks for testing. Was this 2.0.2 distorted export on the 10.6.8 machine?krissserz wrote:Hi!

If you open Audacity > Preferences and look at the Quality section, what is the Default Sample Rate and the Default Sample Format? And what is "Dither" set to under "High-quality Conversion" on that page?
Also is it possible to do View > Fit Vertically and View > Fit in Window, then attach a screenshot of the project window (COMMAND - SHIFT - 4, SPACE, then click the Audacity window)? Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936.
Is it possible to do one more test, exporting from this problem project with 2.0.1 http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/au ... -2.0.1.zip ?
Perhaps you could try 2.0.1 on the 10.6.8 machine, if the 2.0.2 export problem occurred on that machine. If you do test with 2.0.1, be sure to quit the currently running Audacity version first, to be sure it's 2.0.1 that's running.
Thanks for any further help you can give.
