ShuttleXpress and Audacity

Post by bocaboy » Thu Aug 23, 2012 10:02 pm

I purchased a ShuttleXpress to use with Audacity and was surprised to find that while there are dozens of programs pre-programmed for it, there isn't one for Audacity. I started to build the functions I wanted in the device by referring to the keyboard shortcuts section of the Help file. One thing I can't seem to find is how to scroll through the audio window. I can move the cursor placement easily enough, but what I don't seem to be able to do is just scroll, the same as using the mouse to move the horizontal slider to the left or right, but without reinserting the cursor. Does anyone know that combination?

If the keyboard shortcut doesn't exist for that function, I'd like to suggest that it be added, at least so devices that have a jog wheel can be programmed.

Lastly, has anyone programmed the ShuttleXpress, and if so, are you willing to share your mapping(s)? I'd be happy to reciprocate!

Many thanks for any help that can be offered. For the record, I'm on a mid-2010 MacBook Pro with 8 GB running Lion.
