I'm a new Audacity user looking for a way to control the appearance of the edit tracks. Specifically, can I expand them both horizontally and vertically and if so, how?

Re: Edit track appearance
You can zoom in or out horizontally. You can also zoom in vertically by left-clicking on the vertical ruler near the left end of the track, and zoom out by right clicking in the same place: http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/h ... oming.html
The track can be resized vertically by clicking and dragging the bottom edge of the track.
