'About' Greyed-Out

Post by repo136 » Wed Aug 08, 2012 5:21 pm

I've had my version for about 2.5 years now and was wondering which version I was running and I realised that the 'About' option is greyed-out. :?:

Any suggestions?

I believe the party line is to abandon whatever you have in favor of the latest Audacity 2.0.1 from here...

Get the "lame" and FFMpeg from the same place. Don't reuse the old software.

If you went as far back as 1.2, that software can be unstable with the newer Macs.

If that's the only problem you have, you might want to stick with it and just put up with the occasional bobbles.

Thanks, Koz.
I think it's time to update anyway as a few things have always been niggling me (naming a file when 'Save As' then causes Audacity to go nuts...etc.).
