Channel Mixing?

Post by kushiel » Thu Jun 14, 2012 1:05 am

Is there a way to mix the volumes of individual channels in a stereo track? A file I'm working on has very different volume levels in each channel, and I'd like to equalize them.

I'm running Audacity 2.0 in Mac OS X 10.7.3

Thanks.

There is a "Channel Mixer" plug-in available here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... nnel_Mixer
It is a "Nyquist plug-in".
Instructions for installing plug-ins here: http://audacityteam.org/download/plugins

Alternatively you may be able to do what you need by just using the "Pan" track slider: http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/h ... racks.html
