Audacity Forum

Hello,

I just downloaded the link for macOS (I'm running Big Sur 11.2.2). When I go to click on the Audacity icon in my Applications folder, I have several files but don't know which file to click in order to proceed (see screen shot attachment below). I'm sure its something basic I am overlooking. I appreciate any replies, thanks.

You have downloaded a very old version of Audacity (version 2.1.2 or earlier - the current version is 2.4.2). Get the latest version here.

1. What is the name of the file that you downloaded?
2. What is the file size?
3. What is the SHA-256 checksum? (See: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/o ... /#validate)
4. Which operating system are you using?
