Hi everyone,

I've been learning piano for a few weeks now on https://latouchemusicale.com which offers to import midi files to learn piano. So I wanted to know if there was a possibility to export midi files on Audacity?

Audacity can import MIDI files as Note Tracks.
Audacity can export Note Tracks as MIDI files.

Or are you asking if Audacity can export MIDI as a playable audio file - a WAV or an MP3 say ?

If so, then Audacity cannot do that - and this would be a feature request.

This has "nudged" me into writing a formal proposal for MIx&Render of MIDI Note tracks in the Audacity Wiki:

But don't hold your breath - we are only a small part-time volunteer team with very few developers (and I do mean very few).

But
a) this is at least a stake in the ground
b) one of the developers has revived an interest in MIDI Note tracks, for Scrubbing in them - so may be interested in this, we'll see ...

Yes. Please describe exactly what it is you are trying to do.

I do not think you can use Audacity to connect directly to your piano either for playing or for recording.
