I am trying to get my MacBook Air OS Big Sur 11.1 to detect the USB Audio Device to work with Audacity 2.4.1 and a DANSRUE cassette to MP3 converter. The instructions with the cassette player say that Mac OS will automatically install the USB audio device driver. However, it is not available in the selection list under Hardware / USB in About MAC.
Tried everything suggested online/google, but nothing works. Apple support are not able to help either and have referred me to Audacity support for assistance.
Any ideas / help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: USB Audio Device on MAC
That's a $40 device, right? It is probably one of many sold under different names. We have never been able to get one of those devices to work properly on Mac. Even if it show up in System Preferences > Sound > Input, the connection is intermittent.
