Audacity Forum

i've just created a new file and when I tried to export as mp3 the window which would normally allow you to do this opened but was blank. the same happened when I tried to save it. in case the file might be corrupt, I created a new file and cut and pasted the content of the original file to it and tried again but with the same result. i tried with an older file and the same thing happened. so ?

i could try closing Audacity and reopening but worried I'll lose the file I've just created and not been able to save.....

Quit all other programs that are running. In doing so you should switch out of Audacity. Switch back into Audacity and try again.
