I am learning to edit/fix a mistake by re-recording a sentence with a mistake in it. I found a good tutuorial on youtube here...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS3F9kZdf1s
The instruction is well done but I am thinking he must be using a different version than me ( I am using 2.4.2 on MAC OS 10.15). The navigation to "Add Label at Selection" is different which is fine. The problem is when i get to the re-record part, it always starts recording at the end of the original recording, and not in the selected region.
Can anyone provide guidance on how to perform this function? Thanks in advance!!

Re: Correcting Mistake using "Add Label at Selection"
To record to a new track, "Shift + R".
In old versions, Audacity recorded to a new track by default, and to "append record" was "Shift + R" (or "Shift + click the record button"). In response to user feedback, this was reversed so that recording to the same track ("append record") is the default.
