USB CODEC

Help for Audacity on macOS.

Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".


Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Hello Bill - You are amazing! It finally works. I was prepared to set a match to the turntable or sell it on Ebay. Thanks a million for not only your time, but your patience. Wish you were here, I'd give you a slab of my smoked ribs from my restaurant. Again, thanks from a dinosaur when it comes to computers.

Glad it's working. Could you tell us what step got you over the hump? Was is resetting the preferences?

Hello Bill

The issue was resolved when I reset the configuration in tools, then quit audacity and restart with turntable running. I used the drop down in recording and selected USB CODEC. The primary problem was with my Apple computer. I had to go to system preferences, security and privacy check microphone and Audacity, (I clicked the lock to unlock and make changes).
