Waveform (db) not showing up as an option

Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Waveform (db) not showing up as an option
Hoping someone can help me with this. I want to use noise gate, but I am not given the option to highlight waveform (db) in the side menu, as it isn't even listed there. The menu shows multi-view, waveform & spectrogram, but not waveform (db). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Right-Click or Control+Click or Control+Tap the track's vertical scale (on the left)
