Auto Duck Not Working

Post by syntaxgeek55 » Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:41 pm

For some strange reason, the Auto Duck feature is not working. I’ve positioned the background music track so that it is the first, top-most track. I’ve also looked at a couple of tutorials on YouTube but still no luck. Thanks.

Tutorials I consulted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdevgTG37BM and https://youtu.be/bKX3Iup7Uh4

Specs: MacBook Pro, OSX 10.14.6,
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Is the bottom one your control or voice track? It's not even close to being loud enough to trigger the ducking action.

Select the bottom track and Effect > Amplify > OK.

That will bring your control track up the loudest it can go without distortion. That may be too loud for the show, that's up to you. But the ducking action should start working.
