Need to enhance a recording from a iPad

Post by Wayne_II » Sun Jun 14, 2020 4:39 pm

Let me start off by stating I have no idea what I'm doing with audio software. I've been tasked with trying to clear up an audio recording for a family member. They want me to try to increase the volume of a background conversation. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If the conversation is buried below a sea of other noises, it is probably impossible to "fix" without CIA / KGB / CSI software.

You can hear the conversation but the damn AC or a fan in the room really kills it.

You could try the Noise Reduction effect, but if the fan noise is too high it won't be possible to remove it without also destroying the voices: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/noi ... ction.html
