Upgrade to 64-Bit? Ever?

Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Upgrade to 64-Bit? Ever?
I've been using Audacity for years for a variety of projects -- and now I can't because I upgraded my Mac to Catalina. No 32-bit apps will work on the latest -- and I assume all future -- versions of Mac computers. So, is there any hope that Audacity will have a 64-bit version during my lifetime? How can I find out?

Audacity went 64-bit (on Mac) with version 2.3.3 in November 2019.
