Re-doing a vocal phrase
Ok...I'm recording my voice on a stereo track, while listening on headphones to the accompaniment, already recorded on another stereo track. It sounds good, except for one phrase about 5 seconds long, in the middle of the song, where I went off pitch. How do I record over just that phrase--how do I sing it again--without erasing the rest of the vocal track? I'm using OS 10.15.4 and Audacity 2.4.1. Tnx. --Tom in Texas

Re: Re-doing a vocal phrase
Record the phrase on a new stereo track. Maybe even better to record the phrases before and after at the same time. Then you can cut/paste the corrected recording into the original track, or use the Envelope tool to mix the two vocal tracks together.
