mono recording for a multitrack

Post by hotho » Tue May 26, 2020 8:51 pm

Hi, while tryijng to make a mono track recording, I figured, for a Presonus Audiobox iOne, I cannot choose, which of the inputs shall be used for the mono recoding. As default there is only the left channel, which represents the XLR input. I do want to reccord from the right channel, which I cannot choose.
Its not an issue of the driver, as other software does run perfect. its simply, I cannot choose from audacity, which channel to record from!

The ability to map physical inputs to recording channels is still a "wish list feature" (Audacity does not yet have this feature.

A workaround is to record 2 channels stereo, then split the stereo track to mono, then delete the unused track (click the [X] in the top left corner of the track).
