Help for Audacity on macOS.

This forum is for Audacity on macOS 10.4 and later.
Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at
https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the
1.2.x and
1.3.x forums.

- I created a bunch of projects in Audacity 2.2.1 on my Windows 10 work laptop.
- I tried (zipping then moving in multiple ways then) opening them in Audacity 2.3.3 on my personal Mac OS 10.15.4 "Catalina" laptop but all of them just show flat lines.
- I zipped them (yes, including the project folders -- I zipped the "outer" folder containing all my Audacity assets) in Windows using 7-Zip (what I'm required to use).
- Tried transferring them uploading and downloading to MS OneDrive and my personal website.
Before posting this, I tried recording in Audacity using the MacBook Pro Microphone (which works fine in MS Teams and passed a "test" in the audio preferences) and got the same flat line. I now know there are issues with the new Audacity and Catalina regarding how to open files and with microphones --
are the causes also related to my problem? With opening projects from Windows?
