ACX requirements

This forum is for Audacity on macOS 10.4 and later.
Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

ACX requirements
I cannot get the three requirements for a CX in audacity the noise for the RMS in the peak levels when you adjust one throws the other two off is there an easy way to set this up so it can be the same setting each time I use the mic

Home users have problems passing ACX Noise. Noise isn't any one thing and can come from several different places. If you really win the lottery, you can have several different problems at once.I cannot get the three requirements for a CX in audacity

Read down the blue links. They're very short.
Do Not process anything. No filters, effects, or adjustments. Record, stop, cut it for length if needed, File > Export WAV, and post it on the forum. It doesn't matter if you cut some words off. You're not reading for a theater award.

Which Audacity are you using? There's a new one with different tools. Audacity 2.4.0
