Hi,
I know Audacity is not compatible with Catalina (yet) but I have a Tascam US-428 USB controller that I'd like to use again.
I had it going on an earlier G4 laptop with Cubase. Had to use ASIO files and all that.
However, Tascam no longer supports the US-428 with Mac drivers (stopped with Panther, OSX 10.4, I believe).
My question: Do I still need Tascam drivers or would Audacity find and recognize the US-428?
(If I can't resolve this, the unit is landfill, sadly.)
Tascam US-428 orphaned?

Before you bin it, try Audacity's (free) competitor OCENaudio,Shrewsbury wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 9:13 pm... If I can't resolve this, the unit is landfill, sadly ...
it comes in Mac flavour & recognises ASIO drivers.
