Splitting a track

Post by Dabell43 » Mon Mar 23, 2020 9:47 pm

When I search this in the manual, it seems to refer to making two tracks out of one. What I want to do is cut out a section of a track and remove it while the following section remains in place, i.e., not closing in to fill the void. Kind of like one does with splitting a clip in iMovie.

Mac OS 10.14.6
Audacity 2.2.2

If I understand correctly, you need to do "Split Delete" (Ctrl + Alt + K). See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/edi ... ecial.html
