I am trying to download the Nyquist plug-in to analyze ACX criteria. The download gives me a txt file with left click, as well as the right-click (which the instructions indicate may be necessary to use to get a link). (See attachment) The txt file won't come up in the add/remove plugin list after I add it to the audacity plugin file. I am using Audacity 2.1.2 on Mac OS 10.14.1.
Ideas?
Thanks

Delete the ".txt" from the end of the file name.

Re: Trying to download Nyquist Analyze
This is where I warn you that ACX Check can be fooled. It needs at least 3/4 second of clean room tone (background sound) to measure Noise. In general, a straight narrative reading doesn't have silences quite long enough to work. Give it a second (or longer) of dead quiet before you start presenting.

Bill, koz,
Thanks to both of you for very helpful notes to an obvious novice. Bill, particular thanks for not appending the rich-deserved ',dumbs**t' to your suggestion to strip the 'txt' from the file.
koz, thanks for the reference. I'm lucky to have included 5-10 seconds of room noise leading and trailing to my 40 chapter files. I'll trim as part of the editing process. And I'll wear soft pants.
Thanks again,
John
