Inserting a song

Hello!

I am trying to insert a song into a playlist, which means all the other songs on the playlist need to shift right.

New to Audacity and mixing. Appreciate any help you can offer.

Select all the tracks, then do (menu) Tracks > Align Tracks > Align End to End.

Thanks - how do I select multiple tracks at once??

To select all tracks, “Command + a”
(You can also click and drag across multiple tracks)

I’m actually NOT trying to align them end to end… I have already done work with layering the tracks, so if I align them end to end, I will loose that work.

I’m trying to insert a track, move the other tracks to the right, but keep the work I’ve already completed ‘locked’ in place.
