i’m recording a performance of the moonlight sonata by beethoven each time i record and finish i get these drop outs. the audio starts looping and cuts out all together. how do i fix them? i’ve restarted audacity and my computer and reset connection to my blue snowball. help!!

2.2.2 had some Project Management Problems. You should upgrade to 2.3.0, which, at this writing is current.

You are live performing into the microphone? Violin? Zither? Sackbut?
As a fuzzy rule, the error means the computer is busy doing other things and not paying enough attention to you.

Turn off everything that’s not Audacity and really shut apps down hard so the indicator in the Doc vanishes. Certainly turn off Skype and any chat apps. Disconnect the network and turn off WiFi (fan symbol in the menu bar).
Still do it? If disconnecting the network caused something to complain, you may have found your culprit.
