Recorded a podcast, the sound is cut and time is twice shorter as original record

Hi,
I used Audacity to record a podcast and it was 30 minutes long and I don’t understand why but when I stopped the record, it shrinked to 15 minutes and all the voice is cut and superposed especially at the end of the podcast, the beginning is fine (The computer may have turned into pause while I was recording, any link?). I lost my audio record…
Is there something I could do with this? Any chance I can save my podcast?
Why this has happened?
Please help me!
Thxxx in advance

Do you mean that the computer went to sleep / hibernation? If the hard drive powered down, then that would prevent the data from being written to disk.
Check your power saving settings and ensure that the computer does not go to sleep while you are recording.

Also, Audacity 2.1.0 is rather old. The current version is 2.3.0 and is available here: Audacity ® | Download for Mac OS
Updating is highly recommended.
