Hello, Tried to open Audacity just now but I keep getting a pop up that says “Audacity Is Already Running, The system has detected that another copy of Audacity is running. Running two copies of Audacity simultaneously may cause data loss or cause your system to crash. Use the New or Open commands in the currently running Audacity process to open multiple projects simultaneously”. But I do not have any projects open. I turned on my Mac Book running Yosemite, opened email, clicked on the Audacity icon in the tray and received this error. I tried re-booting but nothing works. I have the most recent version and used the program a few days ago. Thanks for any help, Kenny
How old is your Audacity? The current version is 2.2.2.

I updated and still had the same problem. So I completely uninstalled, re-booted, re-installed, and it is working. Thank you
