Quickly getting to the beginning and ending of a recording

I am just starting to learn about Audacity, so my question is very basic. After I record something, how do I quickly jump back to the beginning of the recording so that I can edit out any blank space which was recorded before the beginning of the recorded audio. Also, once I've done that, then how can I then quickly jump to the end of the recording so that I can edit out any blank space there at the end? I'm using Windows 10 pro, and Audacity version 2.1.3. Since I'm new at this, if you answer this question, I won't even know where I should look for your answer. Should I look back here at this forum? Thanks! Carl
