I am editing podcast tracks with long periods of silence. Is it possible to select (not truncate) the spaces between talking on an individual track by more or less “skipping” to the next noise? For example, if someone talks and then is silent for a minute, how could I select that minute of silence without having to click and drag?
If this is in the FAQs, please point me to it. I was unable to find it. Let me know if anything is unclear.
In Audacity 2.2.2 you can use “Alt + Left” and “Alt + Right”.
Those may not be available in 2.2.0, but even if they are, it’s worth upgrading: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
I upgraded to 2.2.2. Unless I misunderstood you, can I use these shortcuts to move and select audio at the same time? Not just moving between labels, but also selecting the audio between them.
