New Mic AT2020USB on Windows 8

Post by diegog » Thu Jan 11, 2018 9:49 pm

Hi, Can I have any help?
I am trying to recording with this new MIC and my system is Windows 8 and I have downloaded the last Audacity version which is great.
Now the system recognize the mic and the recording is great but it stop recording if there is not sound. Like stops every time that I stop talking and start again when I begin again with the sentence, so its impossible to create pauses and to give my recording the necessary modulation I want to create. Any ideas? Should I set the system in a different way? Why the recording stops as soon as I stop talking?
Thanks for your help

Audacity has "Sound Activated Recording."

Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording:

De-select that.
