I believed on another computer, a stubborn impression that there is a decrease in speed. Maybe because the computer is new, so somehow it's different.

Now I have measured: the export of a mp3 file of 3:10 length lasts 17 seconds. It used to be faster.

As a reported earlier in this thread - we did appear to have a slowdown on MP3 import for 2.2.0 amd 2.2.1 - but this looks to be fixed for 2.2.2

I spent some time this morning testing the export of one hours audio to MP3 files at default settings to both nu non-spinning SSD and my on-board spinning hard drive with Windows 10.

Withe the SSD
For 2.0.6 export took 1:57
For 2.1.3, 2.2.0, 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 RC1 (Release candidate following the Beta) all exports took 1:38

With the hard drive
For 2.0.6 export took 1:52
For 2.1.3, 2.2.0, 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 RC1 (Release candidate following the Beta) all exports took 1:39

So I experience no slowdown in MP3 export.

I also repeated the tests with a audio the same length as yours 3 mins 10 secs.

2.0.6 took 5 seconds

2.1.3 thru 2.2.2 RC1 all took 4 seconds

so once again no slowdown observable.
