I have downloaded 2.1.1 for windows 10 but cannot record or get sound no sound wave

If you are using a USB audio device, ensure that it is connected and working before you start Audacity. You can check if the device is working from the Windows Sound Control Panel.
After launching Audacity, select the device that you want to record from in the device toolbar.
