and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

And that now there are no messages on the e-mail about the release of the new version of Audacity? I didn't receive. Is it necessary to check for updates? Not always convenient.

At present there are nightly builds for macOS https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-Mac-Nightlies.html
Hopefully there will be nightly builds for Windows in the future, and some AppImage builds for Linux (https://github.com/probonopd/audacity/releases)
